Roy Gutterman Writes Op-Ed on Trump and Libel Laws

Newhouse Associate Professor and Director of the Tully Center for Free Speech Roy Gutterman recently wrote an opinion piece for the Post Standard regarding President Trump’s recent threat to “open up libel laws.” For Gutterman, a free-speech expert, this is a fairly empty promise.

“If anything,” Gutterman writes in his opening paragraph, “the administration continues to serve up softballs for legal analysts to parse and First Amendment advocates to lambaste.”
