Assistant Professor Elizabeth Krietemeyer
Assistant Professor of Architecture Elizabeth Krietemeyer focuses her research on helping people visualize complex data (such as energy use) as easy as the wave of a hand. She and her team work to observe how people interact with their built environment. This edition of Innovation Orange highlights her efforts, which in the long run may help us save energy and live and work in more comfortable environments.
Krietemeyer leads the Interactive Design and Visualization Lab at the Syracuse Center of Excellence (CoE), where she conducts interdisciplinary research on advanced building technologies and human interaction using immersive simulation techniques.
Innovation Orange aims to highlight the insights and ideas pursued by exceptional faculty, to increase campuswide awareness of faculty research and creative work and draw attention to student involvement in shaping it.
Videos will also highlight faculty collaboration and demonstrate connections between scholarship work and current themes in the nation and world. Importantly, each installment will elaborate on the relationship between faculty scholarship and creating a superior student experience.
