Are Credit Monitoring Services Worth It?

Many often wonder if they should use a credit monitoring service or not. After the Equifax breach, the answer seemingly stands with a firm yes. However, Whitman School of Management Accounting Professor MaryAnn Monforte says otherwise while talking to US News and Daily Report.

“There is no need to pay for credit monitoring services,” she says. “As individuals we must be diligent about checking our credit reports on a periodic basis. Credit monitoring reports are not really a preventive tool.”
