Scotsman, New York Daily News and Post-Standard articles about the push for further investigation into political and economic interests that may have contributed to the release of convicted Pan Am 103 bomber Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi include mention of Syracuse University. WCBS-NY Radio, CNY Central and WSYR-TV reports also mention the University.
Mary Karr, Jesse Truesdell Peck Professor of Literature in The College of Arts and Sciences, is featured in a Dallas Morning News preview to the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference, at which she’ll give the keynote address.
The Post-Standard Stars magazine reported briefly on the departure of College of Visual and Performing Arts drama department faculty members Nathan Hurwitz and Kim Hale.

Larry Bennett, the Whitman Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Practice, is quoted in the New Jersey Star-Ledger on competition in Essex County.
Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in an Arizona Republic article about catchphrases and in a New York Daily News story on rumors that Piers Morgan may replace Larry King at CNN.
John P. Gross Jr., practitioner-in-residence in the College of Law, is quoted in a Your News Now (YNN) report on the 50th anniversary of the publication of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
