The Post-Standard reported on SU’s proposal to become one of three national Energy Innovation Hubs.

The Post-Standard reported on the New York Power Authority’s visit to the Syracuse Center of Excellence yesterday to promote wind power in the Great Lakes region.

A Post-Standard article on CNY high school graduates’ college choices mentioned area students who are participating in the Say Yes to Education program.

Women’s Wear Daily reported on the “Vision with Action” fashion show presented by the College of Visual and Performing Arts on June 10 in New York City.  Stephanie Solomon ’72 received the Icon of Style Award at the event.

The Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company’s production of “Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters’ First 100 Years,” directed by Sonita Surratt, was reviewed by Eagle Newspapers’ CNYLink.

FACULTY QUOTES

Jim Cooper, research associate in the department of biology in The College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted by BBC about the evolution of the kangaroo.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was quoted by amNY on the popularity of Michael Jackson one year after his death.

Don Siegel, professor of earth science in The College of Arts and Sciences, commented on groundwater and hydrofracking in the Ithaca Journal.  His remarks were also covered by WICZ and WBNG.
