WhiTAX, a student-run accounting firm in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, is offering free tax preparation this tax season. The firm, operating as a chapter of the AARP Tax-Aide Foundation, includes undergraduate and graduate accounting students who provide tax preparation services and compliance guidance to low- to mid-income families, veterans, students, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Clients benefit from ensured compliance with tax law and maximum tax benefits; students develop professionally and gain practical skills through this experiential learning venture.
