Romenesko/Poynter Institute mentioned the awarding of the Newhouse School’s first Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting, which is being given to Craig Harris of the Arizona Republic.

A Businessweek story on tax audits cites a report by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) on the rising rate of Internal Revenue Service audits of small businesses.

The Brandywine East Community News (Delaware) reported on a local businessman who is offering free incorporation filing services to graduates of Syracuse University’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV).

Abram Brown, a senior magazine journalism major at the Newhouse School, is interviewed by Editor & Publisher in a piece that examines the future of print journalism.

The Bedford/Katonah Patch (New York) reported on a group of students from Fox Lane High School, participating in a Syracuse University Project Advance public affairs course, delivering a presentation at a March 9 Bedford School board meeting.

The cover story of the March/April issue of Syracuse Woman Magazine focuses on Syracuse University Chancellor Nancy Cantor at home. The issue also features a preview of this year’s WISE Symposium and notes about the Whitman School of Management’s WISE Women’s Business Center.

The Central New York Business Journal reported on the Whitman School of Management’s iMBA program being ranked 15th in “The Best Colleges” review of publicly available data.

The Oneida Daily Dispatch previewed the concluding two presentations in the 2010-11 mini seminar series presented in the Syracuse University Humanities Center in The College of Arts and Sciences planned for April 1 and 8.

CNY Central reported on city approvals for several SU projects, including the Connective Corridor’s University Avenue project.

Kyle Bass, adjunct faculty in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, was interviewed for a Syracuse New Times feature on the script-in-hand performance of his new play “Name in the Street.”

Business Insider quoted John Torrens, a professor of entrepreneurial practice at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, on fostering organizational “intrapreneurship.”
