Peter Blanck, University Professor and director of the Burton Blatt Institute (BBI), is referenced in an ITS Business Edge blog posting on the percentage of people with disabilities in science and engineering jobs.

WSYR-TV covered an event on Wednesday at Onondaga Community College where Syracuse University Chancellor Nancy Cantor joined OCC President Debbie L. Sydow for the dedication of two sculptures,  ”Giunta,” 1988, and “Ziggurat,” 2002, by artist, sculptor and SU alumna Carole Eisner ‘58.

The Post-Standard previewed the fourth annual PARK(ing) Day, organized by the 40 Below Public Arts Task Force and SU’s COLAB to stage 20 PARK(ing) public art spaces around the city and along the Connective Corridor.

Susan Cornelius Edson, assistant director of athletics for communications, commented on SU’s policy of professionalism in the open locker room for a CNY Central (watch video clip) story on the controversy involving the NFL Jets and a female reporter from Mexico’s TV Azteca, reporting from the team’s locker room.

FACULTY QUOTES

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and Whitman School of Management, appeared on the national NPR program “To The Point,” as well as the “Peter B. Collins Show” in California to talk about the meaning of declines in California property tax assessments. He also spoke with “1370 Connection” on WXXI in Rochester on a thought experiment on how tax policy affects investment decisions, and on NPR’s Boston program “Here and Now with Robin Young,” speaking about different federal tax cuts proposals.

Robert McClure, Chapple Family Professor of Citizenship and Democracy at the Maxwell School, is quoted in the Post-Standard on the effect of buyouts at Syracuse’s City Hall.

Grant Reeher, professor of political science in the Maxwell School, spoke with WSYR-TV about the results of the New York state primaries.
