The Examiner featured Marvin Druger, professor emeritus of biology in The College of Arts and Sciences, for his new memoir “The Misadventures of Marvin,” published by Syracuse University Press.

The Tallahassee Democrat reported on new funding for Florida State’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV). The EBV was developed at the Whitman School of Management.

The Post-Standard reported on the announcement that the Newhouse School’s Military Visual Journalism Program has received a new, multimillion dollar contract from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Syracuse.com provided video interviews with those involved with the SU Student Association meeting at the Schine Student Center, which called for closure of a gun purchase loophole that allows purchases at shows without background checks.

Rick Burton, David B. Falk Professor of Sport Management in the College of Human Ecology, and Norm O’Reilly, associate professor of sport management, co-authored a column in SportsBusiness Journal about the effect of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on the sport of hockey and NHL owners and players.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted by NPR in a story on how bomb scare incidents are covered by the media.
