SU NEWS AND EVENTS COVERAGE

The Whitman School of Management’s Sejong-Syracuse Global MBA program was mentioned in a Korea Herald article on Seoul Global Center’s Business Start-up Education Class for international entrepreneurs.

A Post-Standard story on NCAA marketing includes mention of Connective Corridor buses running between Carrier Dome and Armory Square.

Inside Higher Education noted that Mitchel Wallerstein, dean of the Maxwell School, has been named the new president of Baruch College.

The upcoming Body Image Symposium at Syracuse University was noted in a Post-Standard Health Notes column, along with mention of the New York Times essay on obesity prejudices written by Harriet Brown, assistant professor of magazine journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Todd Conover, assistant professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is mentioned in a Post-Standard article on self-published books.

Bruce Strong, associate professor of visual and interactive communications in the Newhouse School, is included in a CNY Link story about a volunteer group’s follow-up visit to the Duk Lost Boys clinic in Sudan.

FACULTY QUOTES

Mehrzad Boroujerdi, director of the Middle Eastern Studies Program in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and The College of Arts and Sciences, is quoted in an Associated Press article about President Obama’s recent outreach toward Iranian leaders.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and Whitman School, is cited in an Oregonian column on property tax inequities in Coos County, Oregon.

Michael Schwartz, director of the College of Law’s Disability Rights Clinic, authored an opinion piece in the Onondaga County Bar Reporter on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, is quoted in a Montreal Gazette story on the tone of Tiger Woods’ recent television interviews and in a Vancouver Sun article on Internet usage versus TV viewership in Canada.
