Research by Scott Pitnick, professor of biology in The College of Arts and Sciences, highlighting previously unobservable events occurring between insemination and fertilization by genetically altering fruit flies, was featured in Scientific American, PhysOrg.com, ABC, BBC, National Geographic, CBC News, and The Scientist.

The Washington Post and Associated Press reported on the dispute between the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) regarding a USCIS charge for a Freedom of Information Act request.
