A meeting of the White House Task Force on Middle Class Families held on the Syracuse University campus and chaired by Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. LAW ’68 was reported by the Associated Press, Post-Standard, Syracuse.com, News 10 Now, WSYR-TV, CNY Central.com, WRVO and WSYR-AM. Kevin C. Quinn, SU vice president for public affairs, and Grace Castaneda, a first-year student, were quoted.

Milton Mueller, professor in the School of Information Studies (iSchool), was quoted in an open letter from the Non-Commercial Internet Users in the Internet Corporation (NCUC) to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) board on the p2pnet.net web site about ICANN’s adoption of a revised stakeholder group charter.

Mathew Maye, assistant professor of chemistry in The College of Arts and Sciences, was interviewed for a “Viewpoints” national radio broadcast on nanotechnology. The syndicated radio broadcast was released on Sunday.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and Whitman School of Management, authored a “By the Numbers” column in The Nation about rising household expenditures in health care as compared to wage increases.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was a guest on The Takeaway national morning news program, speaking about Glenn Beck’s audience draw.
