University Union (UU) is proud to announce that multi-platinum-selling, three-time Grammy Award winner Fergie, Sean Kingston and a special musical guest will headline Syracuse University’s annual Block Party concert on Tuesday, April 22, at 8 p.m. on the Carrier Dome stage. UU is presenting Block Party 2008 at MayFest, the University’s annual celebration of creativity and discovery.

Tickets for SU and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry students will be available for presale, priced at $20 (plus a $2 processing fee for online processing). Student presale will begin Wednesday, March 26, at 9 a.m. and end Friday, March 28, at noon. Presale tickets will be offered at http://studentlife.syr.edu; student presale buyers will need their MySlice NetID and password to gain access. Students are allowed to order one time with a limit of six tickets each. Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express will be accepted for online presale orders. Student presale tickets must be picked up in person with student I.D. at the Carrier Dome Box Office April 8-10. The student presale opportunity is offered by UU.

After student presale, all remaining tickets for this all-ages show will go on sale for the general public at the price of $40, plus any processing fees for online purchase. These tickets will be available starting Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at http://suathletics.com and at the Carrier Dome Box Office. Students will still have the opportunity to buy discounted, $20 tickets after student presale ends, by appearing in person and presenting a student I.D. at the Schine or Carrier Dome Box Offices during regular business hours.

In keeping with MayFest’s efforts to simplify access to the Hill for visitors, concert parking will be offered on a free, space-available basis in the Carrier Dome West Lots. On-street parking regulations will be enforced by the Syracuse Police Department during the event.

Please note that bags, as well as cameras and/or recording devices, will not be permitted inside. There will be no re-entry.

University Union is a recognized student organization that provides large-scale programming for SU and SUNY-ESF undergraduate students.
