“Throughout his long and accomplished career in Congress, Jim Walsh has been a tireless advocate for his constituents and a catalyst for the economic revitalization of Central New York.

“So many important endeavors vital to our region’s future would never have gotten off the drawing board without his support. Among them, the Syracuse Center of Excellence, the revitalization of the Crouse-Marshall business district, the Syracuse Neighborhood Initiative, the Near West Side Initiative, the Connective Corridor, and the South Side Innovation Center.

“We at Syracuse University are grateful for Congressman Walsh’s support and the relationship he’s built with our University that has enabled us to achieve so much. We know that he will remain a strong supporter of our university, city, community and region for years to come.”
