Bus service expanded for Connective Corridor; special bus stop signs installedAugust 22, 2007SU News ServicesSUnews@syr.edu

Centro will be offering free service along the Connective Corridor during the Fall 2007 semester starting Thursday, Aug. 23, with new signs installed at bus shelters and stops along the route to guide riders to the city’s cultural destinations.

Centro is expanding service to run during the morning and afternoon hours on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9:40 a.m. from SU’s College Place stop. Thursday evening service will begin at 5 p.m., providing transportation to evening performances and exhibitions on the SU campus and in downtown Syracuse, including the monthly TH3 city-wide art open.

Special service will also be offered throughout the semester on special days to provide transportation to events such as the University Lectures at Hendricks Chapel, Syracuse Symposium or special shows and concerts at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center. Special service schedules will be updated on the Connective Corridor website as dates and times are announced.

To help guide commuters along the Connective Corridor, Syracuse University and Centro have installed specially marked bus stop signs along the bus route. Bus shelters also have maps guiding riders to popular destinations in the city, including the Everson Museum of Art, Armory Square and the Delavan Art Gallery.
