SU legends Warren Kimble, Floyd Little return to campus for Homecoming book signing event Oct. 7September 27, 2006Carol K. Masiclatclkim@syr.edu

Among the many alumni Syracuse University will welcome back for Homecoming weekend 2006, Oct. 6-8, are former Orange cheerleader and renowned artist Warren Kimble ’57 and football legend Floyd Little ’67, who will take part in a Saturday pre-game book-signing opportunity on the Quad.

The event will take place from 9-11 a.m. Saturday under the Orange Friendzy Tent on the Quad. Kimble will sign his new illustrated children’s book, “The Cat’s Meow” (Walker Publishing, 2006), and the second edition of “Warren Kimble American Folk Artist: His Life, His Art & Collections” (Landauer Corp., 2005). Little will sign his first book, “Floyd Little’s Tales from the Broncos Sideline” (Sports Publishing LLC, 2006). The books are available for sale on the Quad and in the University Bookstore.

“We are honored that two of our best known alumni, Warren Kimble and Floyd Little, will be autographing copies of their new books on the Quad before the Syracuse vs. Pittsburgh game,” says Andrea Latchem, assistant vice president for alumni relations at SU.

This event is free and open to the public.

Homecoming 2006 celebrates the classes of 1976, 1981, 1986, 1996 and 2006.
