Syracuse University’s Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery will present work by the graduating Master of Arts students from Syracuse University’s Independent Study Degree Program (ISDP) in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, through Aug. 11. ISDP will sponsor a closing reception on Aug.11, at 7:30 p.m., in the Shaffer Art Building Galleria. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Parking is available in paid visitor lots.

The exhibition features more than 200 pieces by 18 students. The artists have been working with Professor John Thompson for two years to complete their final projects; the show is the culmination of that effort. The works comprise the students’ theses.

The Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery is located in the Shaffer Art Building. Gallery hours are 2-5 p.m. daily through Aug. 11. The gallery is handicapped accessible. For more information, call (315) 443-3127.
