Bergdorf Goodman CEO to present Fall 2002 Genet Lecture at Syracuse University Nov. 14November 11, 2002Judy Holmesjlholmes@syr.edu

Ronald L. Frasch, chairman and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman, will present the Fall 2002 Genet Lecture at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Sue Ann Genet Auditorium in Syracuse University’s Slocum Hall. The lecture, sponsored by the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is free and open to the public.

Prior to joining Bergdorf Goodman in 2000, Frasch served as president of GFT USA, a manufacturer and distributor of fine designer apparel, and as president and CEO of Escada USA, where he played an integral role in expanding the company’s product categories and significantly increasing its market share. Frasch began his retail career as a sales executive at Bloomingdale’s and later joined Bonwit Teller and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Bergdorf Goodman, the renowned specialty based retailer of The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc., is known for its elegance, fashion innovation and superior service. In addition to Bergdorf Goodman, the Neiman Marcus Group includes 31 full-line Neiman Marcus stores and the $321 million catalog and direct marketing business, Neiman Marcus Direct.

The Sue Ann Genet Lecture Series is offered by SU’s College of Visual and Performing Arts in conjunction with the Genet Gallery for costume, textile and decorative arts. The series brings prominent speakers to the University from retailing, fashion and design.
