Calling All Pie Enthusiasts: What’s the Best Slice Near or on Campus?

We're on a mission to find every amazing spot for pie around the University—along with your own special recipe—and we need your expertise.

It’s the time of year when fierce debate and conversation turn circular, to pie.

Apple, pumpkin, cherry, pecan, lattice-topped, vegan, savory—like the myriad varieties of the beloved dish, we know the opinions on pie are varied and the preferences adamant.

So we want to know: what’s your favorite slice near, or on, campus?

What pie will you brave a Syracuse snowstorm for, the pastry you will seek out even when you know those minutes should be used for finishing up a looming assignment?

Whether you’re a student surviving finals week on sugar and determination, a professor with impeccable taste in baked goods or a staff member who’s been keeping a local pie secret for decades, we want to hear from you.

Where are you getting your pie fix around the SU campus? We’re compiling a list of the best slices to share with the Orange community.

And to be clear, we’re talking all pies: fruit pies, cream pies, chess pies, pot pies if you’re feeling savory. Vegan options? Absolutely. Gluten-free masterpieces? Yes, please.

And, if you haven’t found that slice that measures up to a favorite pie made at home but are willing to share (or show off), we’ll take your recipe too. (Arguments for why apple or sweet potato is superior are also welcome.)
