Syracuse University welcomes members of the news media to campus to help share the stories of our vibrant community, groundbreaking research, and innovative teaching.

The Media Relations team is here to support journalists in covering the university. We can help coordinate interviews with faculty, staff, and students, and assist with logistics for on-campus visits.

Planning Your Visit

Before arriving on campus, reporters should contact the Media Relations team with details about the topic and any specific interview or access requests. This helps us ensure your visit is productive and that you connect with the right people.

Athletics Inquiries

For all media inquiries related to Syracuse University Athletics, please contact the Athletic Communications office directly. The Athletic Communications team handles all press credentials, interview requests, and media access for athletic events and student-athletes.

Drone Use on Campus

If you are planning to use a drone for aerial footage during your visit, please review the university’s drone policy in advance. Recreational and commercial drone use on campus is regulated by the Office of Institutional Risk Management. All drone flights on or above University owned or operated property must comply with current federal, state, and local laws, Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) regulations, policies, and University guidelines.
