Shana Kushner Gadarian, professor and chair of political science in the Maxwell School, was quoted in the article “US midterm elections: Are the Democrats about to make a comeback?” The article analyzes the possibility of the Democrat party winning the U.S. midterm elections, though the Republican party has been projected to win since the end of May. Gadarian states, ‘”The party that holds the White House loses in the vast majority of cases in the midterms,” explaining one of the reasons why the Republican party was heavily projected to win.
