Newhouse Alumni Pick Up Wins at Emmy Awards
Two Newhouse School alumni have earned Creative Arts Emmy Awards, with Jason Blumenthal ’90 joining Janique Robillard ’08 as winners of golden statues this year.
Blumenthal picked up the honor at the 78th Emmy Awards ceremony Monday night in Los Angeles as one of the executive producers for HBO Max’s “DTF St. Louis,” which won for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Robillard earned her award during the first night of the Emmys on Sept. 5. She was a producer for “The Librarians,” which won Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking. In 2025, Robillard also received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Short Film for “Death by Numbers.”
Another Newhouse graduate, Monica Levinson ’90, was nominated as an executive producer for FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette,” also in the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series category.
