No Changes to University Operations; University Will Continue Monitoring Travel Conditions for Today, March 14, 2023
[Update (3:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 14): Due to the inclement weather, campus transportation services will be reduced throughout the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, March 14. Both the Orange and Blue ’Cuse Trolley routes will stop running at 4:30 p.m. Service to South Campus and on the late-night Euclid Loop will continue, but on a reduced schedule. The on-demand safety escort service will continue to be available from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.]

Syracuse University continues to monitor winter weather and local travel conditions today, Tuesday, March 14. After consulting with the University’s independent meteorologist, and based on current conditions, the University expects to remain open and operational today Tuesday, March 14.
Although Syracuse University rarely closes for inclement weather, and recognizing that faculty and staff commute to campus from multiple locations, the University encourages individuals to take precautions and use good judgment when traveling to/from work. If you are concerned about your commute and/or safety, please contact your department chair or supervisor, respectively.
Any change in the University’s operating status will be announced via the University’s emergency broadcast notification system and will carry the notice URGENT SU WEATHER ALERT. Please be sure your Orange Alert settings are always up to date in MySlice.
