The biannual Health and Wellness Survey is actively awaiting responses! It was sent out to all Syracuse University students on Feb. 10 via your @syr.edu emails, and if you haven’t taken it yet, you’ve likely already received a reminder or two. This short, anonymous survey is centered around students’ overall wellness, addressing areas such as substance use, physical wellness and mental health. Your participation in this survey is highly encouraged as the Barnes Center at The Arch uses anonymous student responses to improve available programming, services and resources. Completing this survey will not only allow Syracuse University to better accommodate your needs during your time as a student, but will also benefit future students. If you need a little extra incentive, check out these additional reasons to participate!

1. You’ve Got a Chance to Win Big

Who doesn’t love a giveaway? Upon completion of the survey, you will automatically be entered into an anonymous drawing for a chance to be one of 29 winners. 20 randomly selected respondents will receive a $75 Amazon gift card, five will receive early class registration for the Fall 2025 semester and four will win a $25 Barnes Center Pharmacy gift card.

2. It’s Short and Sweet

Completing the survey only takes about 10 minutes, making it a super quick task to check off your to-do list. Just search your @syr.edu email inbox for the link and answer away!

3. It’s an Opportunity for a Self Check-In

While taking the survey, you’ll find yourself reflecting on your physical and mental well-being. Plus, with responses being recorded anonymously, you’re free to be open and honest, absent of any outside judgement. This is a great opportunity to assess your own self-care and habits, giving you a chance to create new health goals for the new year and seek additional help if needed.

4. Leave Your Mark on Campus

If you’ve ever wanted the chance to really make a difference at Syracuse University, this survey is a great opportunity! Your anonymous responses are an extension of your voice and have the power to impact future campus programming. Whether for yourself or for others, you have the power to make a change for the wellness of Syracuse University students.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, please reach out to the Syracuse University Office of Institutional Research by emailing ir@syr.edu or by calling 315.443.4119. If you would like additional health and wellness support, please contact the Barnes Center by emailing barnescenter@syr.edu, calling 315.443.8000 or exploring the website for resources and services. The Health and Wellness Survey closes on Sunday, March 9, so be sure to take it while you can!
