Executive members of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) are eligible to apply for up to $200 of supplemental funding for the spring 2025 semester!
Students are eligible to apply for this funding by registering their events on ’Cuse Activities and tagging the event with one of the six Shared Competencies. By tagging your event, students interested in attending are able to recognize what learning outcome(s) can be gained by participating in it.
The Shared Competencies are:
- Ethics, Integrity and Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
- Critical and Creative Thinking
- Scientific Inquiry and Research Skills
- Civic and Global Responsibility
- Communication Skills
- Information Literacy and Technological Agility
Apply today using the Shared Competencies Funding Request Form on ’Cuse Activities’ Forms webpage (RSO leaders must be logged in to view the form!). The deadline to apply is Friday, Dec. 13, and funds will be distributed in January 2025.
The application requires students to identify what they plan on using the funding for and to share an example of how the organization has intentionally incorporated the Shared Competencies into a recently tagged program/event.
The Shared Competencies are also used to tag jobs on Handshake and courses on MySlice. Registering events is just another opportunity for students to engage with the Shared Competencies and gain transferable skills for post-graduate opportunities! Learn more about the Shared Competencies and how they’re used on the University’s Institutional Effectiveness website.
