February is Black History Month (BHM), and the campus community is invited to celebrate Black history, culture and traditions through a series of programs and events coordinated by Multicultural Affairs and the Black History Month Planning Committee, as well as student organizations and campus partners. This year’s BHM theme is “Black Resistance: Building Bridges and Navigating Barriers.”

“I am looking forward to all the Black History Month events because it is a great way for Black students on campus to be able to connect with each other and learn about our history and progress,” shares Ashley Bruce ’23, a student on the BHM Planning Committee. “It’s also another great way to support our community through events that educate and inspire us.” Check out some BHM 2023 event highlights below!
