Get your resume ready
Before applying to various internships, you will want to have your resume on hand. Check out VMock—a 24/7 resume review platform free to all students available through Career Services. This is also a perfect opportunity to reach out to professors, mentors and to schedule an appointment with career advisors to help tailor your resume to the application at-hand.
Familiarize yourself with year-round programs
Here at Syracuse University, there are many pathways students may choose when exploring internship opportunities, including co-operative internships (co-ops), practicum experiences or service learning. Meet with your academic advisor to see if these programs could be a good fit for you. Academic advisors are able to work with you to ensure you are on track to graduate, while also taking part in a hands-on internship. There are also opportunities to engage in summer internships abroad, which offers a variety of programs that give students international exposure to their prospective career paths.
