Whitman School Announces 13th Annual Syracuse Entrepreneurship Bootcamp
The Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management will offer the annual Syracuse Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Oct. 17, 24 and 31 and Nov. 7, 14 and 21, at the Whitman School, 721 University Ave.
The Saturday bootcamps will last from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $675. A limited number of scholarships are available to help offset tuition costs.
The bootcamp is a series of modules designed to help entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs develop the skills necessary to create successful, growth-oriented businesses. The only requirements are curiosity and a driving desire to learn more about entrepreneurship. The modules cover a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to, innovative marketing, challenges and opportunities for new and growing ventures, business models, doing more while spending less, sustainability, and using digital technology and social media to grow your business.
“The Syracuse Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was a life-changing experience for me,” says Leah Cahill, co-founder of TogaLu Designs, LLC. “The resources provided both during and after the program helped me to build the foundation and the confidence that I needed to take the next steps in developing my business.”
At the bootcamp, a team of entrepreneurship faculty and a number of successful entrepreneurs will provide a fun and interactive experience, moving back and forth from introducing ideas and concepts to applying them to new and growing businesses. Terry Brown, Alex McKelvie, John Torrens, Todd Moss, Ken Walsleben, Elizabeth Wimer and Ray Wimer head up the award-winning faculty members who will instruct bootcamp participants.
“The bootcamp was exactly what I needed at the right time; the program spoke to me as a new entrepreneur just as it spoke to the seasoned entrepreneur sitting next to me,” says Linda Erb, founder of OhGoodyGoody.com. “I came away from every session with invigorating emotions of pride, impatience, enthusiasm and excitement and they still linger with me today. I have started my own business with skills I could not have gotten anywhere other than the Syracuse Entrepreneurship Bootcamp!”
In addition to receiving one-on-one consulting assistance, each participant will receive a certificate upon completion of the program. For more information and to register for Entrepreneurship Bootcamp online, visit http://Whitman.syr.edu/eee/bootcamp.
