Center for Public and Community Service Staff Members Represent University
Staff members Pamela Kirwin Heintz, Colleen Cicotta, Elizabeth Armstrong and Amanda Johnson of the Mary Ann Shaw Center for Public and Community Service represented Syracuse University at the Eastern Region Campus Compact Conference. The conference, held Oct. 14-16 in Newark, N.J., convened faculty, senior administrators, staff and students from universities across the country to discuss innovation and best practices in community-engaged learning. Cicotta and Johnson co-presented a conference session titled “University-Community Literacy Partnerships and Assessment,” which outlined how Shaw Center professional staff utilize assessment data to support and facilitate student learning.
