Get Moving during Walktober
This fall, the campus will once again get active with Walktober. Healthy Monday Syracuse, in partnership with the University Wellness Initiative and Recreation Services, will sponsor the third annual Walktober.
This event is a month-long walking initiative and competition encouraging students, staff and faculty to get moving, set fitness goals, share their success and support their fellow classmates and colleagues.
Changes to Walktober this year will make it even easier for participants to log their activity online and with the Walktober mobile app.
Come see what’s new with Walktober at the kickoff event on the Kenneth A. Shaw Quadrangle Monday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Those interested can stop by the table anytime during the kickoff to register, learn about the Walktober activity tracking platform, download the mobile app, get a Monday Mile passport and free pedometer.
There will also be an opportunity to walk the Monday Mile with Otto at noon.
Registration for Walktober will continue online through Oct. 9.
