Active Minds Group Brings JCK Foundation to Campus
On Monday, Nov. 17, Active Minds is bringing the JCK Foundation to campus. JCK Foundation works to educate and bring awareness to all dimensions of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder using personal narrative, powerful presentation and group discussion.
The event will feature two speakers, brothers John and Paul Tessitore, presenting a documentary on the life of their close friend, John Kelly, a young man with OCD who took his life at the age of 24. Inspired by Kelly, his experience and his impact, the brothers began their foundation with the goal of raising awareness about the effects of OCD and other mental disorders. The documentary screening will be followed by discussion and time for questions.
The presentation will take place at 7:30, in Heroy Auditorium in the Geology Building.
