Alumni Speaker: ‘Swimming through My Global Career’
The School of Information Studies (iSchool) welcomes alumnus Luk Boral back to campus to deliver a talk titled “Swimming Through My Global Career: How one international student achieved success as a leader and manager.”
Boral ’06 G’07 arrived in the U.S. on a swimming scholarship from Poland. As a freshman, he was barely able to communicate in English, but three years later he graduated summa cum laude and as one of 12 University scholars.
He completed his master’s of science in information management and received the Graduate Master’s Prize.
He has worked for Sidearm Sports, JPMorgan Chase and is currently director, Technology Risk Centre of Excellence at Bank of Montreal (BMO) Financial Group in Toronto Canada.
Boral’s talk is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m., and will be held in room 347 of Hinds Hall. It is free and open to the campus community.
