Free Stress-Reduction Class for Students
The Syracuse University Counseling Center, within the Division of Student Affairs, is offering a free course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to SU and SUNY-ESF undergraduate and graduate students. The eight-week course meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 25. The program also includes a retreat class that will take place Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon-4 p.m.
Last year’s student participants praised the program and it’s benefits, describing the course as follows:
“I’m so glad this was offered and I hope it will continue to be in the future. It really helped me deal with my stress. I have already recommended it to multiple friends.”
“This course was invaluable and has changed my life in numerous ways.”
“It was a pleasure to take this course! I’m very grateful that I was able to be a part of the group!”
