E-Transcripts Now Available through Registrar’s Office
Through collaboration with ITS, aligned with ongoing efforts to provide online services to students and recent alumni, the Registrar’s Office now offers electronic transcripts that can be delivered in half the time it takes for the traditional hard-copy version.
“The advantage of e-transcripts is that they reach their destination in a matter of hours rather than days via postal mail,” sayes Maureen Breed, University Registrar. “Many employers and universities have started accepting e-transcripts as official transcripts due to the ease of moving the PDF directly into their imaging system.”
Requesting an electronic transcript is simple. Students provide the recipient’s email address and, once processed, an email with a link to the registrar’s secure server will be sent in one business day so that a PDF of the transcript can be accessed. Transcripts sent this way are considered official only in the PDF format.
E-transcripts support the University’s sustainability initiatives and will provide the Registrar’s Office with operating and cost-saving efficiencies.
