ESF Center for Native Peoples and the Environment Presents The Climate Change We Need
The leader of the American Indian and Alaska Native Climage Change Working Group, Dr. Daniel Wildcat, PHd, will offer a presentation entitled “The Climate Change We Need: Convergence of Culture and Physical Climate Changes” at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Dr. Wildcat is a professor at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas, and an accomplished indigenous scholar, writer, thinker and activist. A Yuchi member of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, Dr. Wildcat is the coauthor, with Vine Deloria, Jr., of “Power and Place: Indian Education in America”. His newest book is “Red Alert! Saving the Planet with Indigenous Knowledge.” The presentation will take place Thursday, March 7 at 3:00 pm, at the Gateway Building, event space “A”.
