Singleton to Receive Archaeology Award
Theresa Singleton, associate professor of anthropology in the Maxwell School, has been selected to receive the 2014 J.C. Harrington Award from the Society for Historical Archaeology. The award, established in 1981, is the highest honor that the organization bestows and is named in honor of Jean Carl Harrington (1901-1998), one of the pioneer founders of historical archaeology in North America. The award is presented for a lifetime of contributions to the discipline centered on scholarship. Singleton will receive a medal during a ceremony at the society’s 2014 meeting in Quebec City.
