CANDIDATES FOR 2011 HOMECOMING QUEEN
Quote: “The best things come in small packages.”
“As a native of the 315, I’ve grown up surrounded by Syracuse spirit. So when SU offered me admission as a Coronat Scholar, I seized the opportunity to become Orange. Now, I represent the University as a Remembrance Scholar, an Orientation Leader, a University 100 ambassador and a college marshal, as well as serving as the president of the South Asian Students Association. I bleed Orange and I carry my love for Syracuse wherever I go. I would be truly honored to be your 2011 Homecoming Queen.”
Quote: “We can do anything we want if we work hard and believe in our dreams.”
“As a University 100 ambassador, a former SU Dance Team member and current Danceworks choreographer, a Greek life member of Tridelta, a Coronat Scholar and a Renée Crown Honors Program member, and a researcher and volunteer at Upstate Medical School, I have done my best to get involved both on campus an in the community, representing almost every facet of the University.”
Quote: “Loud, proud and Orange—I embody what Syracuse means to me!”
“I major in art history and public relations and minor in management studies. I am a member of the Senior Class Giving Campaign, the Fund for Syracuse, OrangeSeeds, Delta Gamma and a resident adviser. I’ve made unforgettable memories at SU with friendship and school spirit at the core of my experiences. I am, and always will be, Orange!”
Quote: “If you want to win you have to keep going and going. There’s never an end to what you’re doing out there.”—Mookie Jones
“There’s nothing I love more than meeting new people, and SU has given me the chance to do just that. I’m involved in many organizations on campus, including University 100, Alpha Xi Delta, peer advising and SU Abroad. I’m so thankful for everything this school has given me and would love to be your Orange Queen!”
Quote: “We will always have Syracuse … through the good and bad, we share a common bond.”
In 2008, I walked onto campus an entirely different person than I am today. I changed, in a good way. Through my different majors and internship experience, I realized my life-long dream of public service will become my career path. Participating in Greek life, the Dean’s Team and studying abroad in London helped make my experience at Syracuse even more meaningful.
Tomorrow will feature candidates for 2011 Homecoming King.
