The Post-Standard, Legislative Gazette, Poughkeepsie Journal, YNN, 9WSYR, and CNY Central reported that Chancellor Nancy Cantor will serve as a Vice Chair of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Central New York Regional Economic Development Council. The council will coordinate the economic development of Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties.
Autism Key previewed the regional symposium on neurodiversity and autistic self-advocacy on August 5.
YNN previewed the Say Yes to Education Festival, happening today. Approximately 3,000 Syracuse City School District children, ages 7-10 who attended one of 17 Say Yes to Education Summer Camps this summer, will gather in Thornden Park to showcase their work and demonstrate the new skills and talents they have developed throughout their summer camp experience.
Harper’s published an essay, “After All These Years: The remastery of Paul Simon,” by David Yaffe, assistant professor of English in The College of Arts and Sciences.
Harriet Brown, assistant professor of magazine journalism in the Newhouse School, is featured in the Post-Standard’s “Healthy Central New York” special section for “Project Body Talk,” which serves as a forum on body image, eating and food.
