SU Department of Public Safety to test Orange Alert siren Wednesday, May 4
The Syracuse University Department of Public Safety will be conducting a test of the Orange Alert siren on Wednesday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. The test is necessary, as the system has been reset after maintenance.
Members of the SU community should be aware that the siren will sound in a single blast for about 10 seconds on both North and South campuses. A text message and email will be sent through Orange Alert concurrently indicating that this is only a test.
