Mega-droughts as a persistent feature in the West African climate system on decadal to orbital timescales
The Department of Earth Sciences presents the spring 2011 K. Douglas Nelson Lecture Series, this week featuring Timothy Shanahan from the University of Texas at Austin. His title is “Mega-droughts as a persistent feature in the West African climate system on decadal to orbital timescales.” The lecture will be on Thursday, April 7, at 4 p.m. in room 113, Heroy Geology Lab; refreshments will be served. Anyone wishing to meet with Shanahan can contact his host, Professor Christopher Scholz. The University community and public are welcome to attend.
