Voice study participants needed
A research study is being conducted at Syracuse and SUNY Upstate Medical Universities to determine differences in how people with voice problems use their voice, as compared with people who are not having voice problems. We are currently looking for people between the ages of 50 and 65 who are either having problems with their voice (hoarseness, trouble producing voice), or no problems with their voice (no hoarseness). The study involves 2-3 visits, for a total of three hours. We will use special instruments to visualize the voice box, and record movement of the voice box structures during speech and other activities. Monetary compensation will be provided to those participants who qualify and participate in the study. For those people who are experiencing voice problems, several voice treatment sessions will be offered after the study is completed.
If interested in learning more about this study, please contact Dr. Lowell at (315) 443-9648 or email@example.com.
