Syracuse Stage open house planned for Oct. 2
Syracuse Stage has announced plans for a 2010 open house, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2. Festivities will include guided backstage tours, free performances of the annual Bank of America Children’s Show “Annabel Drudge … and the Second Day of School” (an original work by director of educational outreach Lauren Unbekant), hourly ticket raffles, a look at SU’s Department of Drama and complimentary refreshments. Free food will include locally grown apples and refreshments from Byrne Dairy, Cabot Cheese, Franco’s Pizzeria and Deli, the Speach Family Candy Shoppe and Terrell’s Chips. All events will be free and open to the public.
The 2009 Open House event attracted more than 400 visitors, including longtime subscribers as well as many new faces. “Last year’s event was a great opportunity to share with our audience and the community what goes on behind the scenes at Syracuse Stage,” says Producing Artistic Director Timothy Bond. “This year’s event, in particular the public premiere of ‘Annabel Drudge …’ promises a great day for families and friends to come together, relax, be entertained and most of all have fun!”
All events during Stage’s 2010 Open House will be appropriate for families. “Annabel Drudge … and the Second Day of School” is appropriate for all ages.
