SU Brass Ensemble adds April 1 concert to spring lineup
The Syracuse University Brass Ensemble (SUBE), directed by James T. Spencer, has added another concert to its 2010 spring series. The award-winning ensemble is invited to play at the annual “Central New York Brass Bash” at G. Ray Bodley High School (6 William Gillard Dr., Fulton) on Thursday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. SUBE will perform alongside two Central Square Brass quintets, the Fulton Brass Ensemble, Cicero-North Syracuse Brass Ensemble and Ithaca College Brass. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (315) 593-5400.
“’The Central New York Brass Bash’ is one of the year’s most popular high school events for brass,” says Spencer. “The program features a variety of large and small groups playing classical, jazz and crossover. We are honored to be a part of this proud tradition.”
