The Syracuse International Film and Video Festival (SIFVF) announced that full festival passes and special event tickets will go on sale April 15 from noon-11 p.m., at the Lucky Moon Cafe, 719 East Genesee St. Ticket sales will continue at Lucky Moon April 22 from noon-5 p.m., and April 23 from noon-3 p.m., as well as throughout the festival week, April 25-May 1. Tickets can also be purchased at Emerald City Video, 3208 Erie Blvd. East; the Landmark Theater box office during regular business hours; and online at http://www.syrfilmfest.com .
The full festival pass is available for $75 and includes admission to the SIFVF opening event at the Landmark on April 28, which includes four film screenings and a reception; the awards ceremony at the Palace Theater, 2384 James St., on May 1; and all film screenings April 28-May 1. Tickets for individual films will be sold at venues the day of the screening.
Venues for the 2005 SIFVF include the Landmark Theater, the Everson Museum, Bristol IMAX Omnitheater at the MOST, Syracuse University’s Menschel Media Center, the Palace Theater and Westcott Cinema. Ticket prices for all screenings will be $7.50 at the door, with the exception of the opening event at the Landmark and awards ceremony at the Palace Theater, which will be $25 each if purchased individually.
Special event tickets will also be available for purchase beginning April 15. They include the film costume program April 25 at the Everson, which includes a guest speaker and film fashion show; and the Dave Burrell Jazz event at the Palace Theater April 30, which includes a screening of the 1928 silent film “Body and Soul” with an original score composed and played by jazz great Burrell and his trio.
