University Union Announces Redesigned Juice Jam Music Festival

juicejameUniversity Union has expanded this year’s Juice Jam concert into a daylong festival of events for students. The Juice Jam Music Festival is the first multi-stage music festival organized by University Union, and the first student-run music festival in the country.

The outdoor concert will be held Sept. 8 at Skytop Field on South Campus with doors opening at noon and music starting at 12:30 p.m.

University Union has confirmed six artists to perform on two stages, creating a constant flow of music throughout the afternoon. These six performers will be announced via University Union’s social media outlets on Aug. 11 at 10 p.m.

Juice Jam’s lineup includes the second-most-requested headliner from University Union’s Juice Jam survey, which was released through Syracuse University’s OIRA this past May.

In order to accommodate the additional stage, Juice Jam will no longer include the student activities fair for student organizations. Instead, the organization has teamed up with multiple partners to bring even more games and activities throughout the day.

Tickets for Juice Jam will go on sale online Aug. 13 at http://boxoffice.syr.edu and on Aug. 26 at the Schine Student Center Box Office. Ticket sales are open to all SU and SUNY ESF students, staff and faculty for $10; up to six tickets can be purchased per person at the box office and up to four tickets per person can be ordered online. A valid college, staff or faculty I.D. is required to purchase tickets to the event, as well as to gain entry to the venue.

Backpacks, weapons, blankets, towels and hand-carried implements will not be allowed into the venue. Entrance will be prohibited to persons appearing to be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No re-entry or professional photography is allowed. Transportation to and from Skytop Field will be provided by a free bus shuttle service. Stops include College Place, Stadium Place and Skytop Field.
