Black Law Students Association to Host Interactive Forum on Privilege in Society
The College of Law’s Black Law Students Association will host an interactive forum on privilege in today’s society on Friday, March 4, from 1-4 p.m. in 340 Dineen Hall. The event is free and open to all Syracuse University students, faculty and staff.
The forum, “It’s Been a Privilege,” will discuss and dissect the definition of privilege, the intersectionality of privilege and how a person can use their privilege to advocate and aid social change.
“This event will be in a format based on the game 'Life,’ with the goal of educating participants on how privilege benefits and is detrimental to different classes, occupations, races and more,” says Alphonse L. Williams III, president of the Black Law Students Association
